What is this?

Randy and I have been friends and co-workers for around 10 years now. In that time, he has talked about quitting smoking more times than any human being would really want to count. Inevitably, however, despite several worthy attempts, he has returned to the world of smokers before too much time has passed. I've always said I wanted to put up a webpage as a real-time status monitor, a la AbeVigoda.com, to allow interested parties to find out quickly whether Randy is, at any given moment, smoking or not.

Thanks to the magic of blogger, I can now do this without shelling out valuable money to some hosting company.
